"The
Banjo Lesson" is a painting about the offering and receiving of life and
beauty, the passing on of a good gift. A print of Henry Osawa Tanner’s
painting, "The Banjo Lesson", was cut into 24 pieces and handed out to
each student. They then took their piece and found matching colors and
values in the pages of magazines and glued them to their section of the
painting. When all the pieces were put back together, the students eyes
grew with anticipation as the image became clear and was presented more
like a mosaic than a painting.
This piece is beautifully framed by Patton Framing.
Value: Priceless!
