A Bench of Stars
The second grade class designed "brilliant" stars, which they carved and burnt into an oak bench, lovingly made by CCA parent, Paul Reeves. PsalmStarry Night Quilt
Each third grade student made a square, inspired by thoughts of a starry night, using gel glue as a resist and then painting over it with acrylic paint. Debra and Donna Lohman, master quilters, then designed and made this amazing, washable quilt.Van Gogh Collage
Fourth grade students spent weeks studying the color, value and movement in Van Gogh's Starry Night and matching them with small pieces of paper to create this mosaic masterpiece.A Night Sky Lamp
The fifth grade class made a tin-pierced design based on the theme, "light in the night sky". CCA father, Paul Reeves combined these aluminum panels into a sparkling lamp. Starry Night Tapestry
This tapestry is an amazing collaborative design of the 6th grade class and tapestry artist Brooke Teter. The sky is decorated with stars, handmade by each student. The landscape of this familiar painting has been transformed into a sea of curling cloth by Mrs. Teter, with accents by students. (Picture still to come)
